Hostess Brands LLC is currently seeking an Internal Auditor in our Kansas City, MO Headquarters location. This role will be a key contributor to the internal audit team and company to facilitate compliance standards and processes. This role performs internal and external audits, evaluates risks, and completes audit testing and workpapers.
Requires 10-20% travel annually to our bakery locations, distribution centers, and/or to third party vendors/suppliers.
Key Functions and Accountabilities:
The Internal Auditor will be responsible for day-to-day activities and tasks associated with Sarbanes-Oxley, compliance, financial, and operational audits. The list below is a summary of duties and not an all-inclusive list:
Documents and implements internal control processes, SOPs, policies, and company initiatives
Completes risk assessments
Assists with internal and external audits, as instructed by Director of Internal Audit and Senior Management
Monitors and improves control activities
Performs control testing
Prepares audit workpapers
Provides research and analytics to support internal audit team and management
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related degree
One or more years of related experience in public accounting or internal audit (to include college internships)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Intermediate knowledge and proficiency with MS Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, SharePoint
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; solution rather than problem focused
Strong attention to detail, thoroughness and consistency in the execution of responsibilities
Ability to deliver written and oral communication which is clear, concise and relevant to audience both within and outside of the Hostess Brands organization and with our 3rd party vendors
Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with key stakeholders both within and outside of the Hostess Brands organization and with our 3rd party vendors
Exhibits high ethical standards and professional conduct
Ability to work cross-functionally and to learn and adapt to new business processes, technologies, and environments.
