The Walmart Category Manager is responsible for providing analysis of sales and inventory data to support and develop category growth of Sanofi CHC products through Walmart’s extensive retail distribution network. The Category Manager’s role is Sanofi CHC’s key contact to the respective replenishment manager(s) and other Walmart contacts within particular assigned categories. This position will report to the Walmart Director, working in cooperation with Sales, Marketing and Sales Planning to advance Sanofi CHC’s initiatives at Walmart.
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Analyze Walmart sales and inventory data for assigned brands
- Partnership with their Director/National Account Manager to perform deep analytics into their assigned brands
- Key analytical support for Rx to OTC switches and large brand launches
- Manage the replenishment process for assigned brands including forecasting future demand and managing inventory levels
- Establish key relationships with Walmart contacts
- Key contact with Walmart Replenishment Managers for ongoing management of their brands
- Work with internal departments within the assigned brands.
- Manage data accuracy

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Business, Marketing or related field required, MBA preferred.
Experience: 2-5 years’ experience in a Sales Analyst/Category Management role that involved manipulation, calculation and development of detailed data or related field.
Professional Skills: Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
Role Specific Competencies: Demonstrated analytical aptitude to interpret and prepare findings to others in a business case presentation format. This position requires extensive use of computer equipment. Must have a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft business software to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity with Nielsen or IRI programs is preferred. Knowledge of Retail Link is a plus.
Special Requirements: Position is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee at Sanofi CHC’s corporate office. This position requires the ability to travel two-three weeks annual overnight.
