Description This position is based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and exists to serve our team members throughout the state primarily in West and Central Alabama.
The Talent Developer is responsible for ensuring that Alabama Credit Union’s training functions are uniformly applied to improve the overall team member effectiveness/performance within the established policies and guidelines, all to meet Alabama Credit Union’s organizational priorities. Duties include developing, maintaining, and administering a training plan that supports overall organizational objectives with a special focus on new team member competencies, engagement and financial literacy; designing and facilitating learning content and programs utilizing appropriate instructional methods including one-on-one coaching, small and large group instruction, hands-on activities (in-person and virtually); selecting and/or developing training resources such as guides, video, and tutorials; monitoring effectiveness of training through data analysis, observation and feedback; consulting with internal team members in tailoring and modifying training to improve outcomes; and serving as primary coordinator and/or facilitator for ACU’s weekly learning initiative. Minimum qualifications include an associate's degree in a relevant field; three to five years of related experience (instructional experience and/or instructional design experience in the financial services industry); a significant level of trust and diplomacy, courtesy and tact; the ability to motivate, influence and train others; excellent communication and public speaking skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML software, and Fiserv platform; professionalism in appearance, dress, and attitude; the ability to travel primarily in West and Central, Alabama, and travel occasionally overnight; strong project management and organizational skills; and self-motivated, flexible and eager to learn new information in a fast-paced environment.
