We are in need of a CPG business development professional who has the experience in the CPG space with business development aptitude.
The right candidate will be able to identify potential new clients characterized as an emerging brand, national mid-tier category brand, a successful regional brand, or a private label manufacturer who wants to expand their business in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The right candidate will have access to a continuous feed of PNCs (potential new clients) and have the ability to assist in the develop of a strategic plan to assist new clients in all areas of expanding the client's business in the grocery marketing space (and ancillary channels such as dollar channel, hardware channel, auto channel, and agriculture retailing where their products are applicable).
The position is designed exclusively for new client business development while the execution of operations for our new client’s will be managed by the existing team of CPG professionals.
The right candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferably in business and will possess a disciplined approach to managing a sales pipeline (including the valuation of the pipeline and reporting) for new client development. The right candidate will possess a working knowledge of brand development, package designs, category analysis, consumer research and marketing, and a professional understanding of the grocery channel trade. The right candidate will understand the sales cycle of a CPG product and how such products are sold in the marketplace.
