Position Summary:A key leadership role responsible for effectively managing the on-site team and all company operations at the account. Work collaboratively with the account to execute strategies and business plans to grow store brand sales and penetration. Maximize our representation of suppliers and commissions collected. Be responsible for delivering superior support to suppliers and effectively coordinating supplier goals with the account goals.
Develop strong working relationship with account leadership. Meet with account leadership to review store brand strategies, goals and objectives.
Analyze the current program for development opportunities in assortment, promotions, marketing and merchandising.
Maintain and promote a partnership with the vendor community ensuring an understanding of Company’s role. Assist Company in negotiating the highest brokerage rates available on a per vendor basis such that the maximum amount of resources, through Market Development Funds, will be made available for building a superior store brand program.
Be informed of current marketing trends in the store brand industry and routinely communicate information to the account.
Represent Company at all account meetings, supplier reviews, buying shows, conventions or trade events.
Be accountable for sales budgets and periodic review of progress with account. Manage all expenses on a monthly basis.
Lead, mentor, train and develop all company personnel at the account. Conduct annual performance reviews.
Coordinate and/or serve as the liaison for all professional services provided by Company such as Creative Services, Information Networking and Quality Assurance. Ensure that the account's expectations are achieved from each of the professional services rendered.
Other duties as needed to support the account’s store brand program.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business or marketing.
Seven to ten years of sales, category management, or brand development experience in the grocery/CPG industry, preferably private label.
Excellent leadership abilities; ability to work with key stakeholders in the account and suppliers in order to drive business results.
Strong management skills with experience managing a staff and budgets.
