CI/Quality Technician REPORTS TO:
Works closely with Quality and Production Team to maintain quality expectations established in the Quality Management System and by the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Duties listed, as well as others may be assigned.
Assigned Quality Improvement Projects. This could include such tasks as: initiating corrective or preventive actions, drafting clarifications to shop floor paperwork, training production personnel on shop floor paperwork or inspection methods, conducting special tests or any other task to improve the quality of the product produced.
Creating and Updating Documentation (production books, WI's, control plans, inspections checklists, reference documents, etc.)
Data Collection (inspection results, etc.)
Prepare RMA summary for supplier (quantity, photos, scrap reason, etc.)
Perform visual, dimensional, non-destructive and destructive tests of materials produced in-house and purchased against quality characteristics.
Present and clarify quality problems through nonconformance processes, interpret and report results.
Assist in investigation of customer complaints.
Assist Quality Engineer in PPAP and ISIR submissions.
Control, assist and manage Return to Vendor Process.
Collect scrap from production cells to determine between scrap, vendor reject, or return to inventory.
Prepare data analysis reports in Microsoft Office.
Coordinates gauge calibration program, which includes training employees on gauge calibration.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Two year college or university program certificate; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific, technical and professional journals, blue prints, correspondence, memos, general business periodicals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Candidate must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Candidate must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Candidate must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences and have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Candidate must be proficient using computer software such as MS Excel, MS Word and AutoCAD.
Candidate should have the ability to define problems as well as collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Driver's License, Two Year College Degree
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Candidate must be capable of utilizing software in day to day work and be able to use shop IMT equipment.
